Job Description
To execute the elements and requirements of the Air Force Physical Security Program by maintaining the physical security standard
• Escorting unclear personnel
• Maintaining/using an exchange badge system
• Issuing and maintaining a visitor badge system
• Conducting end-of-day security inspections
• Changing combinations on secure doors
• Assisting with the day-to-day operation of established mail system
• Maintaining classified databases for program accesses and document control (where required).
• Generating Program Access Requests, personnel security files, and security education and training records.
• Implementing appropriate safeguards for the protection of classified material; executing secure FAX transmissions, completing and maintaining FAX logs.
• Preparing and processing both hardcopy and automated visit certifications.
• Assisting in the development of security education materials and the conduct of security education and training sessions, including the development and presentation of program indoctrinations and briefings.
• Assisting in the preparation for and conduct of security self-inspections as well as documenting and correcting discrepancies.
• Maintaining the physical security of the program area to include opening and /or closings of controlled areas at start/end of the duty day (0630 hrs – 1830 hrs).
• Participating in all facets of classified material disposition (destruction / retention / transfer).
• Assisting in the changing of safe/area combinations, and checking/testing alarm points, etc.
• Other security related duties as assigned
Required Skills:• One year of experience in security related field. • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required. • Organized and strong attention to detail required. • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Form Flow, and web-based applications required. • Experience in SAP / SAR and Air Force Acquisition systems programs desired. • Completion of two DSS Academy on-line career development courses desired.Preferred Skills:• Familiar with DoD 5200.1-R and 5200.2R as supplemental • NISPOM • DoD 5105.21-M-1 • Knowledge of JFAN 6/0, 6/3, 6/4, 6/9 • JPAS beneficial
