GATA Maritime Interdiction of Terrorism (MIT) Instructor Tracking Code179-845Job DescriptionLinxx Global Solutions, a fast growing Government contracting company, with corporate offices located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is currently looking for experienced Lead and Staff Instructors to fill independent contractor training positions in support of the Global Anti-terrorism Assistance (GATA) program. Applicants must have a training background and be willing to travel frequently, both domestically and abroad, for short-term assignments.
Please note that these are not entry-level positions—the applicant must be able to validate previous instructor experience in the form of certifications, official documentation, and verifiable employment
experience. Prior to working on this contract, candidates must be granted a U.S. government-issued moderate risk public trust (MRPT) and be vetted by the Anti-terrorism Assistance (ATA) program office. Public trust certifications require an investigation similar to that of a security clearance, and will include a background investigation. Please list on resume any current or former security clearances held.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for conducting classroom instruction, presentations and exercises in accordance with the guidelines and directives set forth by the Department of State Diplomatic Security ATA.
Responsible for ensuring only current Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Training Directorate, Office of Antiterrorism Assistance (DS/T/ATA) approved training materials (lesson plans, participant handouts, videos, and case studies) are used.
Liaise with Training Delivery Officer on all aspects of training and establish effective communications for day-to-day implementation.
Coordinate classroom preparation.
Compile End of Course Reports and draft After Action Report for submission utilizing DS/T/ATA approved reporting format.
Administer pre- and post- Knowledge Surveys, Participant Skills Evaluations, and Participant Critiques and summarize results.
Responsible for the day-to-day operational activities.
Responsible for validating, justifying and reporting any deviations from the Facilitator Guide.
Interact professionally outside of normal training hours with course participants and Post and Partner Nation officials when appropriate and approved by DS/T/ATA. Required Skills
Mandatory Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Three years of professional work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education. A maximum of 3 years of college may be substituted with work experience.
Five years of maritime interdiction experience focused on law enforcement and Anti-Terrorism, including two years of specialized experience in leading, supervising, planning, and conducting operational responses in the maritime security environment.
Instructor certification from a recognized local, state, federal law enforcement, or military institution.
Demonstrated operational experience in the subject area.
Physically fit to travel internationally and perform the duties of an instructor for the Maritime Interdiction of Terrorism Course.
Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally to perform assigned duties.
Must have a professional appearance.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products to include but not limited to:
MS Word
MS PowerPoint
MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive experience in maritime interdiction/law enforcement operations.
Experience in the realm of Standing Rules of Engagement as well as Use of Force Law Enforcement Policies.
