Job Description
The Security Management Support Specialist will provide security management support on the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Professional Acquisition Support Services follow-on (PASS II) contract. The PASS II contract provides Advisory and Analytical Services (A&AS) to support lifecycle acquisition at Hanscom Air Force Base, Geographically Separated Units, and Operating Locations.
Individuals providing this type of support will provide technical security services to support development, acquisition and sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, and associated support systems, assisting with program protection planning including defining the methods and actions
needed for the protection of a system throughout its lifecycle. Individuals will assist with implementation of Information Security, Industrial Security, Personnel Security, Communications Security, Resource Protection, Force Protection, and Anti-Terrorism programs. Examples of the products and services that Security Management Support personnel will provide include, but are not limited to:
• Development, preparation and/or presentation of system security management related plans, reports, reviews and other system security related documents
• Security training briefings to new employees during orientation and at other times when necessary
• Evaluation of the degree of clearance needed for a specified position, analyzing each request received to determine validity for access indicated
• Maintains prescribed files and records pertinent to clearances
• Recommends methods of adapting regulations to local serviced organizations.
Requirements:
• Minimum Experience Requirements: 3-5 years of work experience, including 1-2 years’ experience in a government or contractor security environment (various levels).
• Individuals must have knowledge of program protection, technology control, system security engineering and related DoD and Air Force Instructions (DoDIs and AFIs).
