As a Physical Security Specialist you will be responsible for the following duties:
Serve as a Physical Security Specialist responsible for physical security construction projects assigned.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert on all physical security related Sentry, Base Realignment and Closure, and Military Construction Projects for the Pentagon Reservation and National Capital Region (NCR) jurisdictional areas assigned, including but not limited to: Electronic Security Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Access Control Systems that meet DoD standards, Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12, and Federal Information Processing Standard 201, as prescribed in applicable DoD Directives, Instructions, and Regulations.
Develop, implement and manage the Project Integration Directorate (PID) physical security programs.
Maintain control of projects assigned to meet or exceed system reliability and performance standards, Unified Facility Criteria, and the PFPA Integrated Security Master Plan.
Manage security projects from early planning, design, construction, testing and acceptance, commissioning, and turn over to include physical security upgrades and emerging state of the art technologies.
Coordinate with PFPA Headquarters, Washington Headquarters Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), DoD agencies and customers, architects, engineers, prime and sub-contractors, Federal, State, and local authorities, and specific project stakeholders.
Supervise quality assurance methodologies to validate actual work performed is within standards.
Formulate short and long range budgetary requirements based on current and projected mission requirements.
