About Safety, Security and Compliance (SS&C):
The SS&C organization partners with all Southern California Edison (SCE) operating units to protect employees, customers, assets, and the public-at- large. The organization strives to provide leadership in the functional areas of Safety, Security, Compliance, Ethics, Business Resiliency (Emergency Planning and Response), and Environmental Programs, while at the same time provide excellent
service to operating units, helping them achieve their critical objectives.
Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Security, this manager will have enterprise-wide responsibility for the strategies, programs, investigations, and protective services related to the physical security of all company facilities, employees, and visitors.
Typical responsibilities will include:
Development and implementation of policies, standards, and procedures related to the continuous monitoring and protection of all locations, perimeter defenses and threat assessments and the protection of all personnel and visitors
Directs management of security coordinators, Regional Security Agents, and contracted security officers at headquarters and in the field, including timely and effective investigations of any security breaches and/or threats
Provide timely updates and investigation findings to Company leadership and/or law enforcement and determines and recommends changes to security policies and procedures based on investigational findings and trends.
Oversight of background check process for all employees, contractors, and visitors
Ensure fulfillment of regulatory requirements for reinvestigations and personal risk assessments and ensure operations are compliant with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Manage ongoing risk assessment program, including defining identifying and classifying critical assets (in coordination with operating units); assess threats and vulnerabilities regarding those assets, and implement safeguard recommendations.
Provides management direction, strategies, policies, procedures and protocols for executive protection and employee security matters, including workplace violence and acts of terrorism.
May serve as the Incident Commander of critical security events including briefings to executive level management and ensures communication across the Company, as well as serving as a senior management liaison with federal, state and local emergency services
Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
Must possess five years of professional law enforcement experience with a federal, state or local law enforcement agency.
Must demonstrate the ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to deliver information across all levels of the organization, some of which may be technical or sensitive in nature.
Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree or higher from a resident accredited graduate school in Business or Public Administration
Demostrated experience working directly within security operations in a corporate environment
Demonstrated experience making formal presentations to management and external governing, law enforcement or emergency service agencies
Demonstrated experience reviewing, analyzing, and making recommendations on policies and procedures
Demonstrated experience conducting security and threat assessment-related investigations
Honorable graduation from a major law enforcement training academy such as the FBI Academy, state law enforcement agency or equivalent military agency.
Professional credential or professional license discipline.
Experience in managing multi-million dollar budgets related to security
Certificated FEMA Incident Command Systems: 100, 200,300, 700 & 800
