Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
The Manager, Corporate Security assists with the planning, organizing, and coordination of security operations at Universal Studios Hollywood, CityWalk and the Theme Park (USH). The position will report to the Director, Corporate Security and will be based out of Universal City, California.
• General responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and implement USH Security department goals, objectives, and policies.
• Develop audit procedures for all systems and security operations. Produce quarterly and annual reports to ensure compliance with all corporate security policies. Conduct off-hour inspections in order to assess the quality of security service and training issues.
• Develop and/or modify Standard Operating Procedures to include technology based reporting, communication, distribution and archiving of content as well as report writing and case management.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Assistant Manager staff, and ensure they have the necessary expertise, continued training, and experience.
• Direct and oversee department office operations, direct the maintenance of appropriate records and files, coordinate and prioritize workflow.
• Maintain relationships and work closely with other internal departments, particularly Loss Prevention, Human Resources, Legal, Finance, and Facilities.
• Assist other US Theme Parks as needed, and participate in organizations representing the Theme and Amusement Parks throughout the United States.
• Serve as a liaison to the Securitas Project Manager assigned to the Entertainment Center, Universal Studios Hollywood. Coordinate the correct security response and adequate preparation to ensure the safety of the public and our employees at the Theme Park and CityWalk.
• Coordinate with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Watch Commander, assigned to the USH Substation, to address the concerns of both USH and the Sheriff’s Department. Ensure there is the proper networking and facilitation to create a seamless interface between the Sheriff’s personnel and the Securitas staff. Establish the necessary relationships with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on crime and arrest report quality and filing parameters. Have the requisite knowledge of law enforcement policies and procedures to ensure a collaborative effort between the responding public safety personnel and the security staff
• Meet regularly with the Director of Corporate Security, USH, to determine needs and develop a security plan. Develop and review staff reports related to the assigned activities and present reports to the Director of Corporate Security.
• Oversee the preparation and implementation of the security schedules for the Theme Park and CityWalk.
• Meet with and develop a working relationship with the tenants and retailers on CityWalk, and in conjunction with the UHS management staff, coordinate the appropriate security response.
• Assist in the preparation and tracking of the budget for USH security. Participate in the budgetary process for USH. Track all incidents, criminal and non-criminal occurring at USH, and in cooperation with Securitas, the Sheriff’s Department and USH management, develop the appropriate security response.
• Serve as the acting Corporate Security Director, USH, in the absence of the Director.
• Foster and maintain a close relationship with the public safety agencies that serve or may serve the USH property.
Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications:
• 15+ years of progressive experience in law enforcement, Security, or a related applicable profession.
Eligibility Requirements:

• Previous theme park, mall, corporate, or related experience strongly preferred
