Job Description
SERE INSTRUCTOR IIThe SERE Instructor II duties include providing training in basic, high-risk
Survival, Evasion, Resistance,and Escape (SERE) techniques and procedures to students,
to include providing full SERE Level “C” Training.
Essential Functions:
1. Develop new classes or modules based on foreseen requirements ,and validate requirements
for training while ensuring that lesson plans are updated to reflect the new Tactical Training Plans.
2. Provide inter-agency coordination, intelligence scripting, logistical coordination, training
area identification, identifying training resources such as transportation, supplies, personnel,
ammunition, equipment,and other logistical “back side” requirements to support the
exercise.
3. Provide SERE Level “C” and Peacetime Government Detention/Hostage Detention Training.
4. Comply with policies and procedures as set forth in the company’s Handbook of Policy and
Procedure.
5. Comply with the provisions of the corporation’s Standard Practice Procedures manual and
DoD 5220.22-M when handling classified information to include generating, marking, storing, handling,and destroying of classified material.
6. Work, cooperate,and communicate, as directed by the Program Manager , with supervisors,team leaders,and coworkers satisfactorily. This includes the professional, mature acceptance of constructive criticism.
7. Travel as required.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications For Position
1. Must be able to obtain,as a minimum, a Secret security clearance.
2. Must have extensive experience in the utilization of Systems Approach to Training (SAT)
methodology to provide objective based tactical training in basic and advanced skill sets.
3. Must have extensive experience in the provision of Program of Instruction and curriculum
analysis to include the continuous research and development of new and emerging Tactics,
Techniques and Procedures (TTPs)
4. Must have extensive experience providing full-spectrum SERE training from a Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA)-approved Program of Instruction
5. Must possess excellent work ethics, verbal and written communication skills
6. Must be able to get along well with others and effectively function as a member of a team.
7. Must be physically fit and able to operate in demanding environments.
8.At a minimum,annually, must submit to drug and HIV testing,when required ,and provide results to TSM Corporation, Human Resources. Employee authorizes TSM Corporation to share results with the Government customer and/or Prime contractor ,when requested.
9. Must have at least Four (4)years of honorable service in the U.S. military and obtained,at a minimum,the rank of E-5.
10. Must have graduated from Department of Defense (DoD )SERE Level “C” course and have qualified as instructor of an approved DoD SERE Level “C” course to include completion of
an accredited SERE training program, such as SERE Instructor Naval Enlisted Classification
(NEC), SERE Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)
,or Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC).
11. Experience with U.S. military special operations TTPs is considered a plus.
