The Global Security Manager will support the GE Transportation business with 12,000 employees located in 40 countries around the world. The Global Security Manager will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities In addition you will:
Direct all aspects of security for GE including; protection of people, facilities, and information

Assure quality, consistency, and efficiency of security processes for prevention, crisis response, and business continuity across GE global operations
Lead the Global Security Team in providing a secure workplace for employees and protecting business assets
Develop and implement programs that protect people and assets from theft, fraud, workplace violence, drug abuse, and sabotage or terrorism
Design and implement emergency response plans and associated training
Assure protection of business critical, proprietary, and government classified information and systems
Assure adequate disaster recovery / business continuity plans exist for critical operations
Develop and maintain a security program for employees traveling to and living in foreign countries
Assure compliance with all government regulatory requirements relative to Security
Audit sites and organizations to ensure the business fully complies with broader GE Security and Crisis Management Policy
Develop action plans to address any areas of deficiency
Apply Six Sigma to measure and continuously improve GE’s security and crisis managements processes
Benchmark GE businesses, outside companies, and security associations to identify best practices and Crisis Management Policy
 
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in Security, both government and corporate, domestic, and international
