Job Description
Plans, coordinates, and manages activities associated with the development and implementation of Exelon Security and Emergency Planning training programs for the sites and corporate. The manager will own GOSP functions associated with the emergency planning training program and the nuclear security training program. Ownership of these training programs includes assuring the programs meet all associated regulatory requirements of the programs. The manager will accomplish this through leadership of corporate trainers and influencing site trainers using the GOSP management model.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities:
- Provide GOSP functions associated with the emergency planning and nuclear security training programs. This includes supervising the implementation of the SAT process for corporate and EP training programs and assurance of proper implementation of Appendix B security training at the sites.
- Manages post-training assessments to identify impact on personnel and plant performance to identify training program areas needing improvement. Assure training improvements and corrective actions are systematically initiated, trended, analyzed and resolved for emergency planning and nuclear security training.
- Applies the GOSP model to assure that training facilities, equipment, materials, records, and personnel qualifications support training program goals and applicable regulations. This accountability includes governance and ownership of fleet training ranges.
- Anticipates long-range Security/EP training needs and develops strategies and plans to meet those needs.
- Supports training activities of the training staff as time permits.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
- BS/BA in a technical discipline or education/training
- 5+years of professional security (or applicable military) experience with 3+years of experience in implementing security (or applicable military) training programs. NRA ,OCAT and PATH qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience with the systematic approach to training (SAT) endorsed by the Nuclear Energy Institute
- Experience participating in NEI evaluation teams, FOF drills, or other security training benchmarking
- Effective written and oral communication skills
Preferred:
- 5+years of professional supervisory/management experience in the implementation of training programs
- 5+ years of instructional experience
- Substantial experience in leading teams from multiple organizations in accomplishing diverse tasks and assignments
- Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Project; Vision and Plateau
