Position Description
Expedia is seeking to hire a Senior Manager for Corporate Security within its Enterprise Information Security organization and who is responsible for the physical security of Expedia including employee safety, security threat vulnerability identification/analysis/mitigation/response programs.
The successful candidate is expected to create, establish, implement and verify compliance with security programs across the security spectrum to include: security guard services, physical security design standards, security awareness training, travel security, workplace violence, safety, etc. These programs are expected to leverage technology and systems to create automate processes and support systems that are sustainable, scalable and designed to fit Expedia's culture.
The candidate is will develop/design corporate security programs from the ground up including identifying industry best practices, conducting gap analysis, presenting mitigation strategies, developing budgets, creating/publishing security policies and procedures, qualifying vendors, managing the deployment and operation of physical security systems and programs.
Responsibilities:
Lead the day to day security operations including guard force oversight, alarm response, special event management and visitor control
Work jointly with various teams and HR stakeholders to develop and implement security awareness programs
Develop and oversee standard operating procedures for designs, configuration and implementation of physical security systems for both people protection and data
Conduct investigations, audits, special event coordination and other safety, security or business continuity efforts as business conditions warrant
Develop and maintain contacts with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies
Serve as Expedia's Subject Matter Expert in all phases of corporate security
Work with cross functional teams to identify and mitigate security
Serve as the security incident manager as requiredQualifications
Customer focused and results oriented leader that possesses strong influencing skill and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
7+ years of experience in one or all of the following disciplines; corporate security management, security and asset policy development, guard force utilization, and physical security infrastructure design.
7+ years as a security manager in a multi-location global corporate environment.
Bachelor degree in Corporate/Information Security or related field or 15+ years of applicable experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to concisely and effectively address questions while providing subject matter expertise on policy to associates and management across diverse global sites
Demonstrated working knowledge of Workplace Incident Management, Emergency Response, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity
Proven ability to accurately take decisive action based on available information in a timely manner
Ability to travel globally 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrable experience developing security programs within fast-paced environments.
Proven ability to work with and effectively persuade facility site leaders and senior management.
Analytical leader experienced in performance based, action and results oriented management, strong project manager and effective problem-solver.
Master's Degree in Corporate/Information Security
Possession of any or all of the following certifications:
Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Security System Professional (CISSP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Member of Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM)
