Advantage SCI is currently seeking an experienced Security Specialist to be considered for part-time employment upon contract award. This individual will assist a government agency in safeguarding BMDS information and will be responsible for providing security expertise and assist with the planning and assessment of the agency’s Physical Security Program.
Summary of duties includes, but is not limited to:
• Assist with planning and assessment of the agency’s Physical Security Program
• Participate in inter- and intra-agency collaborative efforts, prepare reports and memoranda, assist in revising existing or developing new policies, plans, procedures and training material, and make recommendations
• Maintain, update and provide Physical Security related data IAW procedures and policies established by DSS Infrastructure Protection linked to policy library and databases
• Assist with the review and assessment of construction design drawings, including renovation, associated requirements documents, and related technical information for regulatory security compliance
• Assist in the identification of Physical Security requirements pertaining to security designs, construction, renovation and/or modification of Military Construction (MILCON) projects, General Service Administration (GSA) leased facilities, operational and test program sites
• Prepare a recommended position and/or assessment via memorandum or design comment matrix form; coordinate and submit final documents for approval
• Assist with planning, developing, and executing Physical Security Site Surveys for controlled facility designation and accreditation and/or decertification of open storage areas up to and including Top Secret
• Prepare and coordinate Physical Security Site Survey forms, checklists, and/or comment matrix and accreditation, designation and/or decertification memorandums IAW DoD and agency guidance
• Conduct initial and follow-up Physical Security Site Surveys for controlled facility designation, open storage accreditation, and/or decertification
• Assist with planning, developing, and coordinating Electronic Security System (ESS) Performance Verification, Testing and Acceptance (PVT&A) documentation
• Prepare, coordinate, and disseminate security related correspondence and reports in support of the PVT&A process (e.g., Alarm Test Report and PVT&A Log).
• Prepare and process requests for agency security badges, Visit Authorization Requests, and the agency Out Processing Checklist
• Prepare recommended responses to assigned agency taskings regarding safeguarding BMDS assets
• Prepare weekly reports with updates related to safeguarding BMDS assets
Minimum Requirements:
• Top Secret/SCI Clearance required
• MA/MS in related field. An additional 5 years of experience with a BA/BS may be substituted for the MA/MS degree.
• 10 years of relevant security experience
• Must be capable of providing expertise in Emergency Management and Continuity of Operation Programs
• Able to apply analytical principles and practices, research and technical support in the development and production of security products and activities is required
• Must be capable of working either independently or concurrently in leading/supporting teams to directly solve complex problems is required.
• Must have demonstrated high-level proficiency in oral and written communications
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Must have a valid certification of completion in PII and Cyber Awareness Challenge from Information Assurance Support Environment (Only valid within 30 days of hire). To obtain the certification, visit http://iase.disa.mil/eta/.

• Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and carry for short distances occasionally
• Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis
