Uber's Security team works to ensure the security of all private, personal, and payment information for our full set of users - riders, drivers and partners. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every single experience with Uber is simple, secure, and safe.

The Threat Operations team focuses their attention on anticipating future abuse, and investigating the most severe.

This is a hands-on, management position tasked with formalizing functions within the ThreatOps organization. The position will be responsible for continuing to mature the global function, including the development of technical operations elements, recruiting, people management, and alignment with our Legal, Privacy, and Security teams.

Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:


Direct the research and analysis of complex information from a variety of sources.

Manage the development of well-written, accurate, concise, and objective analytical products for a variety of stakeholders.

Partner with other members of Uber’s Security and business functions to identify, assess, and react to emerging issues.

Formalize global program to ensure timely assessment coverage.

Liaise with external vendors, analysts, and organizations to enable the appropriate sharing of relevant information and trends.

Work with a geographically dispersed and highly varied stakeholder base.


HERE ARE THE KINDS OF SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
6+ years of experience in threat management, operations, or analytics in a private sector/public sector environment.

4+ years international management experience.

Experience in communicating findings orally and in written products.

Deep understanding of geopolitical, security, and regulatory issues.

Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to make recommendations to prevent future security vulnerabilities and mitigate potential security threats.

Strong professional network

Ability to travel internationally
