Job Summary


Security professional responsible for all operations that are taken to safeguard people and property assigned to the Fusion Cell Team. Coordinate security assessments, planning and risk assessments and mitigation at all Nigerian Ministry of Defense (MOD) work locations

Principal Accountabilities

(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
Plan, supervise and execute the delivery of team security operations.
Ensure that program activities operate within the security policies and procedures of the organization and the MOD.
In consultation with the TOPM, establish security Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all team operations.
Ensure all team members receive security orientation and training in accordance with team SOP.
Communicate with MOD and its security stakeholders to ensure team safety and security at all locations and during travel.
Coordinate the delivery of security services among different program activities.
Write reports on the program as required.
Identify and evaluate the security risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks.
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills
An ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and orally.
An ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
Knowledge of security and confidentiality procedures is desired.

Experience & Education
Former military or law enforcement experience preferred. Site security planning and operations experience; Africa experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree
10 years naval forces experience; port operations experience is preferred.
Experience with naval logistics management; African/Asian continents preferred.
Knowledge of Defense Inventory Management Systems is desired.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
May work in austere environment. Often works extended hours to meet project deadlines.

Travel
Ability to travel as required.
