Protective Security Officers

Alutiiq Diversified Services, LLC is currently recruiting for Protective Security Officers, to support a Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Services contract throughout the state Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania (to include Williamsport, Hazelton and Scranton).

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
The role of the Security Officer includes but is not limited to a variety of security related duties.
Officers must be familiar with "Post Orders" which outline responsibilities such as Entrance/Exit posts; Roving Posts; Control, Issuance and Storage of Keys; Security and Fire Systems; Building Rules and Regulations; Unauthorized Access; Response to Injury/Illnesses; and other additional duties as required by contract.
Applicants selected will be subject to a background/security investigation and must be drug free and remain drug free during period of employment.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet one of the following experience/education requirements for Security Officer positions:
High School Diploma or GED.
Three (3) years security experience within past five (5) years, or
An Associate’s degree, or at least 60-semester hours college credit in any field of study, or
Three (3) years military or National Guard experience, (active or reserve) or
Successful completion of Police Officer Standard Training (POST) course, or
Any reasonable combination of the above.
Must speak English fluently, read and comprehend written English, and compose coherent written reports in English.
Must meet and/or exceed medical/physical requirements.
Must obtain Government approval.

APPLICANT MUST POSSESS:
Must possess a Social Security Card issued and approved by the Social Security Administration.
Must also possess a Current State Security Officer License, a current Firearm Permit/License and a valid Driver's License.
Must possess & maintain a PA ACT 235 License.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this position requires U.S. Citizenship status. COR may approve Lawful Permanent Residents who are currently members of the US Armed Services or who possess an Honorable Discharge from a US military component.
