Humana is seeking a Physical Security professional to support our growing business operations. As an integral part of the larger Human Resources organization, Humana Global Security (HGS) provides integrated security and operational risk management services across several functional areas including Security Operations, Crisis Management, Physical Premise and protection, New and Emerging Threats, Reputation and Ethic’s, Business continuity and resiliency, Intelligence and Risk Assessment, and Security systems and applications.
HGS executes on a strategic-control model within a U.S domestic base to ensure consistent execution of HGS operations, policies, and procedures protecting Humana’s People, Property and partnering with Information protection. HGS focused on proactive measures—assessing risk, executing appropriate prevention and preparedness measures, and leading and development of planned response to potential disruptions.
The Security supervisor will lead our contract security group at Humana, including crisis planning and consequence management for Humana’s 50k North American associates. This role will be responsible for coordination, implementation and management of enterprise facility emergency response planning, training and law enforcement liaison program, its metrics and all aspects of related contract security staffing, performance, training and program maturity.
A detailed knowledge of the United States law enforcement, public safety and emergency interoperability and the systems used to communicate local and wide area emergencies.
Facilitates multidisciplinary working groups to develop facility specific security plans and programs to mitigate risk.
Accountable for ensuring that the asset protection and fraud detection programs and strategies of the organization are effectively implemented and maintained.
Develops documented standards and measurement of efficiency and the effectiveness of these programs
Develops in depth training materials specific to topic areas of need and prevention and provide training to the contract security team, leaders and associates.
Demonstrated competencies in budget management, invoicing, payroll and billing oversight and financial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
Works with functional team members to evaluate the effectiveness of physical security systems and programs around the enterprise. Performs physical security site surveys at various enterprise locations, determines project scope and develops tailored security solutions.
Leads analysis of security vulnerabilities and system failures, and determines cost-effective countermeasures.
Facilitates multidisciplinary working groups to determine security solutions and mitigate risks.
Conducts field testing and evaluates new and specialized security equipment for the company’s facilities and prepares scope development for competitive purchasing.
Designs integrated physical security controls for a diverse portfolio of real estate assets including medial/clinical, office, call-center, production and retail operations.
Develops training materials and provides on-the-job and classroom instruction to Loss Prevention and other employees.

Qualifications
Role Essentials
Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
Possesses a 5-10 years of experience in Federal and/or State law enforcement, and/or corporate security.
Proven leadership, strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong knowledge and understanding of business, financial terms and budgeting practices to support capital projects and operating cost reduction strategies.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, pay close attention to detail, be well organized, and work successfully in a fast paced environment.
Continually works to solve problems and improve processes.
Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Role Desirables
Certification as a CPP, CFE and/or PMP
MBA preferred
Lenel On-Guard familiarity a plus
