Position Summary
The Manager of Physical Security assists the Director of Physical Security to proactively manage all aspects of the protection of personnel, hardware, premises, programs, networks, and data from physical circumstances and events that could cause serious losses or damage to the organization.

The Manager of Physical Security has responsibility for the day-to-day physical security operations for the Jacksonville Corporate Campus and the Physical Security Command Center (PSCC) to include access controls, CCTV, biometrics, alarm monitoring, visitor management, life safety devices and the safety officer program.

Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provide physical security management and program oversight for Jacksonville corporate campus and Physical Security Command Center (PSCC).

• Provide management and oversight of technical security systems to include intrusion detection, badge processing, access control, closed circuit television, visitor management systems, fire alarm and central control communication systems.

• Manage multiple security systems installations and operational projects and/or consultants to achieve specific program goals.

• Responsible for directing all activities of contracted security personnel to include day to day operations, reporting, and procedural compliance.

• Develop and maintain sound physical security practices including contract security post orders.

• Identify and facilitate departmental training needs, processes and programs.

• Conduct Security Awareness and safety programs.

• Oversee the management of the Jacksonville campus Safety Officer program.

• Assist in directing, planning and implementing emergency evacuation procedures in accordance with safety policies as well as recommend appropriate remedial action

• Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement officials and provide investigative support as needed.

• Assist with internal security investigations regarding property loss and other critical incidents.

• Perform physical security assessments and provide recommendations regarding mitigation strategies.

• Ability to be on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and travel domestically on short notice.

• Performs other essential functions which may be assigned by management.

• Acts on behalf of the Director of Physical Security in his/her absence.

Requirements
• Strong working knowledge of Access Control Platforms. Software House (CCure) preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of CCTV systems and system monitoring.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience in managing a security command center charged with monitoring multiple locations.
• Ability to balance multiple projects of varying priority in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience preparing reports suitable to be shared with executive management and law enforcement entities.
• Ability to obtain CPR/AED/First Aid training certification.
• Ability to be licensed by the State of Florida as a Security Officer as needed.

Education

BA/BS in a Security or Business related discipline

Experience
6 - 8 years industry level experience, with at least 5 years managerial or supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience required.

Additional Skills and
Desired Qualifications


• CPP and/or PSP certification
• CCure/Software House certification
• 5-7 years of video surveillance (CCTV) experience
• Security system installation experience
• Emergency response instructor certification (CPR, First-Aid, AED)
