Position Description
Join our Security Team in Harlow where you will be required to support and work alongside the Site Security Controller. You will have direct involvement in the day to day activities relating to the efficient control of security across the site as well as providing support to our other Site Security Controllers.
Key responsibilities:
Personnel Security - assisting with security vetting requirements of all employees who required Baseline Personnel Security Standard, including Disclosure Scotland.
Travel – preparation and submission of International Security Visits and acting as the focal point for all enquires and travel requests.
Maintaining an electronic databases for employee clearances, documents and international visits.
Ensuring that classified material is registered on receipt, issued, stored, dispatched, archived and destroyed in accordance with current security instructions.
Deliver security induction training and provide on-site security advice to employees.
Assist with conducting mandatory security audits.
Liaising with appropriate external agencies.Required Skills:
Proficient in the use of MS office applications (word, excel and PowerPoint).
Experience in database management.
Organisational and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Able to prioritise workload with close attention to detail and deadlines.
Be able to handle classified or sensitive information confidentially.
Be able to work alone or as part of a multi sited team.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Previous experience working within a UK Government security environment or Defence sector, or suitable commercial security environment and familiarity with HMG Security Policy Framework.

Desired Skills:
Security related qualification (or working towards).
