SF Command has an immediate Opening for 1 Military Working Dog Handler for 5th SFG
Knowledge and Skills:
Provide instruction to students in their Military Working Dog (MWD) Handler training course and assist the customer with the selection of MWD’s.
Conduct training, presentations, and briefings with military customers and vendors. Graduate of a military canine training course or civilian equivalent course a plus.
Aide the government with developing schedules, outlines and programs relating to maintenance of the program Assist the government observing teams and aide in medical/nutritional requirements in sustaining the government property and housing facilities.
Aide the government in daily exercises to maintain health and proficiency.
Analyze the results of applying guidelines to difficult situations and recommend changes. Also develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Aide the government with plans, resources and prepare and conduct daily sustainment activities.
Assist the government in reinforcing activities to maintain developed proficiency.
Conduct technical analysis of customer’s MWD Handler/Trainer program in accordance with customer specifications and implementations.
Capable of applying advanced principles, techniques, theories, and concepts into a training program.
Contribute to the development of new training principles and theories which are highly innovative and ingenious.
Work under consultative direction towards short and long range MWD Handler/Trainer goals and objectives.
Capable of developing advanced training ideas and guide their development into a final product. Serve as customer spokesperson on advanced MWD projects and programs and act as onsite representative to military customer’s organization for their MWD Handler/Trainer program.
Qualifications
Must have ten years’ experience (Special Operations experience preferred) and certified in canine care, maintenance and sustainment training.
Candidate must be able to secure and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
