Description:
MacAulay-Brown, Inc. is looking for a highly qualified individual to serve in the position ofPhysical Security Specialist for a government customer. This position will assess mission survivability of mission systems, networks, architectures, infrastructures, and assets. These assessments will focus on mission continuity and assess against a broad spectrum of risks including accidents, natural disasters, technological failure, individual actions, etc.
This specialist’s responsibilities include reviewing and assessing the overall protection environment, its ability to recover from an incident or emergency, and its ability to reestablish critical mission capability. The specialist is responsible for assessing in accordance with customer standard operating procedures on the below categories:
Protection Planning and Execution - sufficiency of protection planning, resources and materials, training, and exercises that comprise an organization’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from an incident or emergency are evaluated with regard to the organization’s missions, capabilities, threats, and hazards.
Access/Circulation Control - determining whether measures are taken to screen out unauthorized personnel and vehicles and, if so, whether the measures are sufficient and effective.
Detection/Assessment - determining whether the site has the capability to detect unauthorized entry/access and assess the nature of the penetration.
Reaction/Response - evaluating in-place reaction and response force planning, management, capabilities, available equipment, manning, and training.
Site Security Adjustments - incorporates all specialty areas as they tie into the overall security assessment including adjustments to mitigate or correct vulnerabilities.
In addition to the duties outlined in the customer’s standard operating procedure for this position, this position is also responsible for conducting of the vulnerability assessment process, and other tasks both onsite and off-site to include:
Pre-trip planning information as required.
Support during all three assessment phases
Equipment management including delivery, deployment, and recovery
Prepare and conduct Technical Support Projects
Perform Design Reviews
Perform other tasks as assigned
Additionally, the candidate must possess strong abilities to:
Coordinate program activities involving multiple government agencies external to customer, and within the agency to include contractors
Support multiple programs; multi-tasking ability critical
Establish and maintain suspense’s and deadlines
Work in a high stress environment.
Frequent Travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations.
Requirements:
Required Skills/Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in a security/law enforcement related field.
Minimum 10 years operational experience in the military or other comparable civilian security or law enforcement position.
Experience working in a SCIF environment.
Understanding of Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Joint DoD security directives.
Experience in conducting vulnerability assessment for a wide-variety of mission critical infrastructure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to prepare power-point presentations, reports, and white papers.
Preparation of PowerPoint presentations, reports, and white papers.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a related field.
Thorough understanding of all DoD force protection/antiterrorism programs and requirements.
10 years Military or comparable civilian experience in the areas of security management, operations, antiterrorism and physical security system analysis.
Experience with radiological/nuclear detection systems, programs, and capabilities.
Experience conducting vulnerability-based assessments.
