Advantage SCI, LLC is currently accepting applications for a Security Specialist candidates to be considered for employment to support a government agency in Washington, DC.
Summary of Duties includes, but is not limited to:
• Provide subject matter expertise in the processing of clearance nominations and tracking clearance requests
• Assist the State and Local Fusion Center Team with personnel actions
• Monitor and track I&A State and Local clearance applicants.
• Query clearance information using Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Integrated Security Management System (ISMS), and Scattered Castles
• Ensure security priorities in support of the State and Local program Office and the Homeland Security Data Network (HSDN) Deployment contractor
• Assist in processing clearance lists for State and Local Program Office, Homeland Security Advisor, and Fusion Center Director conferences across the Nation
• Process Permanent Clearance Certifications (Perm Certs)
• Process 11000-25 New Request, Contract Change and Exit Requests for contactor employees
• Create and distribute Derivative Classification & Marking training course certificates of completion
• Manage and update the Derivative Classification & Marking Recertification training course database
• Field and respond to general I&A security requests or inquires
• Manage and update the State & Local and Contractor Suitability and Clearance Trackers
• Create and distribute I&A Security Management Branch Quarterly Newsletter
• Act as a liaison between Contract Company Security Representatives, I&A Security Management Branch & Personnel Security Division.
• Teach Agency Headquarters Contract Suitability training course to Contract Company Security Representatives and Contracting Officer Representatives (Federal employees)
• Assist in teaching OPSEC Security training course to federal and contractor employees
• Coordinate security services provided to the State, local, and tribal partners.
• Have knowledge of and ensure security priorities in support of the State and local Program Office and the Homeland Security Data Network (HSDN) Deployment contractor
Minimum Requirements:
• Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)
• A minimum of four (4) years of comparable experience with specific experience
• Demonstrated high-level proficiency in oral and written communications and experience in interviewing
• Must be able to Travel CONUS and OCONUS, if needed
• Be experienced in Microsoft Office products to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
• Be experienced in conducting briefings
• Be available for flexible hours (to include evenings and weekends)
Working Conditions:
• Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
