Overview:

The Whitestone Group Inc. is an industry leading security company providing services to the U.S. Government with an international presence. The company is currently seeking to hire candidates for a federal contract.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:
Watch commanders will supervise onsite guard operations during his or her shift. The capability to act and make decisions independently and will represent corporate over site when Site Supervisor is not present. The supervisor’s duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Verifying guard sign-in/out procedures.
2. Providing guard briefings to in-coming officers on current activities and ensure guard knowledge is current. Watch commanders must visit and inspect each guard post within the first 2 hours of guard shift (unless responding to other incident requiring immediate attention) and document post visit on Form 139.
3. Providing a written summary of activities that occurred during his/her shift. These activities will be provided to the site SQI daily.
4. Responding as needed to incidents and all other incidents as needed during their respective shifts and direct guard response activities.
5. Knowledgeable of all guard posts and site locations, and assert his/herself to resolve situations requiring immediate attention or report to the appropriate channels for necessary attention.
6. Reviewing all incident reports for accuracy and ensure completion prior to departing from workday.

Qualifications:
Required to have completed either a two year course of study leading to an associate’s degree with a major in any field of study, or have substantial and credible law enforcement, military, or management experience that demonstrates the individual’s capacity to effectively supervise a contract security force.
Proportioned in height and weight and physically able to perform duties.
Undergo a pre-employment medical/physical examination
Undergo a pre-employment drug test (urinalysis)
Successfully pass a Government Suitability background check
At a minimum, must have one year of armed security, military or law enforcement experience and meet one of the following experience/education requirements:

Proof of eligibility Verification of requirements need to be submitted to the COR prior to the contract guard being brought on duty with the contract and one of the following:
Three years of security experience within the past five years
An Associate’s Degree in a related field and at least one year of experience,
Three years of military or National Guard (active duty or reserve) experience
Successful completion of Police Officer’s Standard Training (POST) course
Any reasonable combination of the above (i.e., plus one year of college course work related in the field).
The ability to fluently speak, comprehend, read, and write coherent written reports in English.
The ability to meet and deal with the general public.
The ability to read, understand, and apply printed rules, detailed Orders, instructions, and training materials.
The ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress.
The ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports.
Any type of military service, as evidenced on DD Form 214, may be credited toward meeting certain requirements, but military itself is not required.
All Contractor employees shall meet the minimum age requirement as established by applicable local, state, and federal laws to serve as an armed guard.
All security officers must be able to withstand the physical demands of the job and must be capable of responding to emergencies.
Be a citizen of the United States of America or legal/documented Resident, eligible to obtain any and all licenses required by law to carry firearms.
