Location: Covington, Kentucky
Job Description:
The Watch Commander will serve as the shift supervisor for Alutiiq on a day to-day basis during one of the 24/7/365 shifts. This person will be directly responsible for overseeing the contract guard workforce, represent corporate over sight and will not fill a uniformed guard post assignment while on duty.
WC's duties include, but are not limited to:
Verifying guard sign-in/out procedures.
Provide guard briefings to in-coming officers on current activities and ensure guard knowledge is current.
Must visit and inspect each guard post within the first 2 hours of guard shift (unless responding to other incident requiring immediate attention) and document post visit on Form 139
Provide a written summary of activities that occurred during his/her shift. These activities will be provided to the site SQI daily.
Respond as needed to incidents and all other incidents as needed during their respective shifts and direct guard response activities.
Be knowledgeable of all guard posts and site locations, and assert his/herself to resolve situations requiring immediate attention or report to the appropriate channels for necessary attention.
Review all incident reports for accuracy and ensure completion prior to departing from workday. Reports must be made available for local FMSS office immediately upon request.
QUALIFICATIONS
PERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible to perform under this contract, each uniformed contract employee must meet the following education, experience, medical, physical fitness, and security requirements.
Education/Experience: Each contractor employee must possess a high-school diploma or a GED equivalency certificate along with basic computer operating skills. Shall be required to have completed either a two year course of study leading to an associate’s degree with a major in any field of study, or have substantial and credible law enforcement (Guard II equivalent), military, or management experience that demonstrates the individual’s capacity to effectively supervise a contract security force.
Medical/Physical Fitness: All contract employees must be in good health without physical defects and/or psychological abnormalities that would interfere with the performance of contract duties.
Security: All guards, supervisors, and Contract
Manager shall adhere to standards of conduct and performance (maintaining satisfactory standards of competency, conduct, appearance, and integrity) as set forth in 41 CFR 101-20.3 and Standards of Conduct are associated with this contract.
