Customer Service Engineer – Satellite Communications Specialist
This position is available in:

Location:
Afghanistan (Bagram, Kandahar, and Kabul) - Requiring at least a SECRET CLEARANCE
And A Floating role (throughout the middle east) – Requiring at least a TOP SECRET – SCI

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Customer Service Engineer (Satellite Communications Specialist) include:
Ensuring the maintenance, operation and performance of Ku-Band Mobile Terminals
Assuming the on-site leadership role with customer satisfaction as the primary goal

Working with site personnel to:
Maintain satellite communication system availability above acceptable levels
Troubleshoot and resolve any identified circuit or equipment outages or degradation
Provide interim reports as necessary, based on particular site conditions and/or problems
Maintain the site (including electronics and office) in professional and clean manner
Performing the on-site duties which enable us to successfully implement contractual duties relative to mobile terminal operation and maintenance

In order to be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
Successful completion of CONUS Readiness Center required
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Requires a valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to obtain an international driver’s license
Strategic or tactical multi-channel satellite communications experience
Strong grasp of satellite communications operational theory

Must be hands-on person with the knowledge to operate and configure the following equipment to include, but not limited to:
Antenna controller, satellite acquisition
HPA/TWT, LNA/LNB - Low Noise * Fiber/Coax/Ethernet Cable Work
FDMA/TDMA modems (satellite modems)
Up-converters, down-converters
X, C, KA, Ku-band, Tri-band Satellite Terminals

Additional knowledge in these areas is a plus:
Cisco routers
ViaSat Linkway Modems
PBX - T1/E1, FXS, Adds/Drops

IDIRECT HARDWARE & SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE
Candidates for this position may be required to fill in as Vacation Floaters as needed with options to fill assigned positions as available. Possible extensive travel via commercial and military means is required.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline with 6 years of experience, or in the absence of a bachelor's degree, 8 years of related experience.

Applicant must have a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. US Citizenship is required.

Location - Afghanistan (Bagram, Kandahar, and Kabul), Djibouti, Kuwait
Duration of the deployment – Option ends July 27th 2016 – Final option year and working to win additional years
Skill set ( Level 1/2/) - ($45-$58k)
Total comp for each skill set (Hazard pay) 35%/35% Afghanistan and Iraq (Ex at $45k, total would be $76,500) For Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, also get goods and services
Completion bonus – Should get numbers today/tomorrow
Employee benefit information – Getting it shortly
Vacation schedule (what is paid for; time off/flight etc..) – 120 hrs of accrued vacation and floating holidays (112 hrs) as they don’t get holidays off. Also get 40 hrs R&R after 3mths. You get one paid round trip ticket home, Can use after 3 mths
Hours worked (day shift, night shift, how many hours day, how many days a week working) – Working 84 hrs / 12 on 12 off 7 days a week
