Position Description
IDS is seeking a Program Manager (PM) to provide support in managing task orders related to training, doctrine and capability development, in addition to instruction and training methodologies such as simulations, simulators, modeling, and analysis. The PM will bear primary responsibility for technical aspects of contract performance, as well as procurement, personnel, reporting, and other management responsibilities. The PM will provide management support in the areas of training and doctrine development, training instruction and modeling, and simulation support. This includes the implementation of these services, taking responsibility for the overall effective management of the program and the allocation of all personnel and resources necessary to meet all contract requirements.
Specific tasks will include:
Supervise program/project operations by developing management procedures and controlling, planning, and directing project execution; monitoring and reporting progress; managing program/project resources; and managing and controlling financial and administrative aspects of the program/project with respect to contract requirements.
Directly supervises all managers within the contract.
Responsible for day-to-day program management and leading the Facility operations.
Ability to professionally communicate orally and written with COR and government employees.
Engage in regular face-to-face meetings the COR, and provide required reports and documentation to the COR in a timely manner
Requirements:
Possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.
Five to 10 years of cross-disciplined experience in military operations, logistics and military training.
Understanding of the JCIDS process and the staffing process at TRADOC.
Experience as a project manager; delivering solutions in accelerated timeframes, multi-tasking, prioritizing. Prior experience at MCOE
Solid understanding of instructional design approaches, Systems Approach to Training (SAT) or the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model.
Experience performing analysis, design and development for instruction; conducting task, needs, and audience analyses; writing learning and performance objectives; and applying principles of adult learning and learning styles.
Experience using program management, e-learning authoring and development tools; making presentations, and conducting classroom training; and developing assessments to achieve specific goals.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, training, adult education, or related field of study.
Experience as a project manager; delivering solutions in accelerated timeframes, multi-tasking, prioritizing.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent writing skills and ability to work with DOTD and unit experts to conduct research and resolve issues.
Strong oral communication skills and ability to present complex information clearly; attention to detail.
Experienced in using Army Knowledge Online (AKO) portal procedures
