Description
Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Regional Manager - Security for our Fort Mill, SC location. This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the day to day functions of the security department in North and South America, including protection of employees, visitors and property as well as overseeing all activities related to data privacy and information security.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Adopt Schaeffler’s global security standards for the Region Americas, including North and South America.
Support Schaeffler locations in Region Americas to perform security risk analyses and site classifications.
Support the local implementation of security measures while striking a good balance between standardization and local adoption.
Implement and operate systems to monitor the implementation of security measures.
Further develop alarm and emergency response plans for the region in close cooperation with other functions such as Employee Health & Safety.
Support business continuity and crisis management preparations.
Implement reporting platforms to advise Senior Management of current and potential security-related concerns.
Further develop the operating model for security services to optimize the definition of roles and responsibilities in cooperation with Global Head Office.
Manage and handle misconduct by completing incident reports with respect to security violations, fraud, misconduct on intellectual property and other criminal violations
Main contact person for all aspects of information security and to coordinate respectively with functions such as IT Security and Object Security
Monitor data privacy for our employees, customers and business partners and regulating the use of personal data
Investigate security incidents
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
High degree of honesty, integrity, and candor
Must have 7+ years’ experience in Security Management and experience in Information Security/Data Privacy
Law enforcement experience preferred
Knowledge in IT security governance and risk, digital forensics and incident response
Knowledge of security and privacy provisions of a variety of regulations ad standards; Privacy Laws and ISO 2700X
Previous experience with training and maintenance of safety standards
Must have knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Effective, reliable written and verbal communication skills
International experience, preferably in Spanish-, Portuguese- or German-speaking country preferred
Practical experience in project management
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to travel throughout North and South America regularly, with occasional travel to Europe
