Security Coordinator

Reports to Corporate Security.  This position is designed to be one of leadership, combining excellent system knowledge and skills, with decision-making abilities.  The Coordinator is the main point of contact for significant events concerning their site(s) and will be responsible for communicating them to the Manager of Corporate Security as well as the appropriate Business Partners. Duties include, but are not limited to:  coordination and oversight of contract security staff covering shifts 24/7, handling and interacting with visitor/trespassers, customer service training for contract security staff, and assisting in evacuation procedures during the event of an emergency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1) Safety/Physical Security

• Monitors and oversees all security activities, including CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems, and staff of on all campus sites and storage areas
• Responsible for monitoring the activity and general performance of contracted services, particularly in construction, janitorial services, and office relocations services, including access, badge and key control and disbursement and tracking of movement within the facility.



•  Staff responsibility, assisting Manager in coordinating and monitoring service level of contract security personnel.  Will provide feedback and insight to Manager regarding general performance, system issues, campus facilities issues, and events/incidents, which are the purview of the department.
• Communicate with the National Account Manager of the contracted security company to resolve any non-compliance with contract terms, including hiring standards, professionalism and service levels.
• Interact/coordinate with municipal emergency agencies (fire and police) during emergency events.
• Perform programming, testing routines and minor trouble shooting for access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
• Conduct all necessary inspections and routine audits per direction
• Review all Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports associated with the site's security operation.
• Assist in coordination with the safety marshals the evacuation of one or more corporate buildings.
• Responsible for the Safety Marshal Program for the campus

2) Operations

• Responsible for supporting of small scale in-house Corporate, Brand and Field meetings.
• Builds consensus with business partners toward developing solutions.
• Coordinates audio-visual requirements (as needed)
• Consistent and proactive communication to business partners
• Organize service for building equipment as needed

3) Administration/Communications

• Process iexpense and other invoicing as needed
• Draft necessary brand communications in line with Athleta culture and needs

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: Work closely with Corporate Operations, Facilities, BCP Executives and staff.  Communicate effectively in emergency as well as non-emergency situations with all pertinent business partners of all levels.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:

2) Minimum educational level:

• BS/BA preferred or equivalent experience.

3) Minimum experience:

• 2 years experience in a customer service role.

• Experience coordinating with vendors a plus.

• Knowledge of apparel/retail business a preferred, but not required.

4) Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

• Able to work evenings or weekends based on needs of the business.
