Job Summary
This position, based in Hong Kong, is for a full-time Regional Security Director (RSD) to cover the Asia/Pacific (APAC) region for AECOM operations. The RSD will lead the region security initiatives, promote organizational resilience/business continuity and maximize the company’s ability to operate in a variety of challenging environments. This position will be responsible for identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining security and risk/disruptive event management processes across the region to reduce risk, ensure organizational resilience, and limit exposure to liability in financial, physical, intellectual property and personal risk.
The RSD will have the following core areas of responsibility:
Implementation
To develop and implement best practices, policies, procedures, and criteria for physical security programs consistent with AECOM’s global requirements and practices.
To develop and implement region Resilience Teams.
Develop and implement a region Organizational Resilience Program.
Management/Advisory
To manage and enforce applicable travel management programs.
To provide local and regional security assessments in support of business operations.
Promote security across APAC and embed within key decision making processes.
Liaison
To liaise with other external agencies (e.g. building / estate management companies, law enforcement, security providers, government, security staff) in an effort to share information and benchmark security-related matters.
To gather intelligence about events affecting AECOM.
To actively participate in professional associations and relevant peer groups.
Minimum Requirements
10 years relevant security experience (previous security position in a large cooperation or national police, armed forces or intelligence services and/or with international security organizations and consultants).
Bachelors level degree; masters level degree a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
The following skills and experience are essential:
Strong communication and IT skills.
Robust project management skills, with the ability to coordinate activities, facilitate unit goals and manage resource requirements.
Knowledge of security systems, including access control; ability to analyze, evaluate and recommend new systems, policies and procedures.
Ability to develop and implement security standards and procedures.
Experience in international security issues, developing country profiles and intelligence.
Experience in regional crisis management and country evacuations.
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese preferred.
Knowledge of APAC criminal justice systems.
Certification as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from ASIS.
