Job Description

The special event security manager is based in Seattle and will primarily support Amazon Studios events worldwide. This position will focus on the safety, security and privacy of our customers, vendors and associates while ensuring company event goals are accomplished.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement customized security plans for large events
Conduct pre-event site assessments
Mange proprietary and contract security personnel, law enforcement operations and medical personnel
Provide security briefings to senior company leadership
Prepare and manage security operating budgets
Assist and support executive protection details
Support event, marketing and public relation departments while maintaining security standards
Conduct investigations involving criminal activity and violations of company policies & procedures


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 3-5 years management experience preferably in a security, law enforcement or military discipline
Ability to adapt well to fast paced environments with changing circumstances, direction and strategy
High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information; excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with senior company leadership
Ability to travel on short notice for domestic and international projects

Preferred Qualifications

Studio event security experience preferred
Executive protection experience preferred
Investigative experience preferred
