Position Overview:
The Manager of Global Security will be responsible for developing and managing ongoing programs that serve to protect Novelis. In this position you will assist in the development, implementation, and execution of plans that provide consistent and shared processes that serve to protect Novelis in areas including: physical security, executive protection, business intelligence, crisis management and investigations.

Reporting Directly to The Director of Global Security, you will be part of the build out of this global team; involved in multifaceted strategy and programs in a highly visible position here at Novelis.

Areas of focus for this role include:
Physical Security –
• Development of robust physical security program that is communicated and executed on consistently
• Conduct Physical security assessments
• Consult with local management
• Assist with cost effective plan to address identified issues
• Use economy of scale to contain cost and optimize technology

Executive Protection
• Consistency in execution of briefings
• Valuable and accurate intelligence that is beneficial for traveler
• Identifies risks and implements/ recommend solutions

Crisis Management/Business Intelligence
• Assist Regional/local management with the development of contingency plans for :
• Potential natural disasters
• Accidents
• Bomb threats
• Labor disruptions
• Vandalism
• Sabotage
• Pandemic
• Manage the Novelis emergency system
• Test system on schedule time frame
• Assist management in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures
• Define and administer the company workplace violence policy. Provide ongoing training and awareness
• Assist in new hire orientation process

Investigations
• Maintain the company incident reporting database to measure the effectiveness of the security program
• Review incident to ensure root cause investigation are conducted
• Conduct investigations into the following:
• Compliance/Ethics
• Fraud
• Potential Criminal Activity
• Property Damage
• Thefts
• Partner with HR/Legal to share result
• Work closely with Internal Audit and Risk Management
 
Qualifications
The role requires the individual to versed in various areas of security including: physical security, executive protection, business intelligence,crisis management, and investigations. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to move quickly between multiple priorities. As the security industryis ever changing, the individual should maintain an active array of informational sources, resources and contacts .Ideally the candidate should have 8 to 10 years of law enforcement/security experience and a bachelor’s degreein criminal justice or comparable.
A demonstrated track record of a high degree of honesty, integrity, andconfidentiality. You should also beself-motivated and be able to work effectively work with little or no directsupervision.
Ideally the you should also have at least one current SecurityCertification: CFE, CISSP, CPP, CFCI, or equivalent.
