Security Guard - Armed/EMT

Responsibilities:
This is a unique contract and requires certain security positions to be certified as Emergency Medical Technicians.

In this position, personnel monitor security systems to include, CCTV and communication equipment. They also maintain access control to the property, and perform vehicular perimeter patrols. Additionally, as a Security Officer/EMT’s personnel respond to injured or sick persons on the property and coordinate emergency response from fire and EMS to these incidents.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Candidates with 3 years experience, military police, law enforcement, corrections officer experience or some college with emphasis on criminal justice is desirable.

SKILLS AND TRAINING:
  • CPR/First aid, EMT in MD, PA or NREMT is MANDATORY
  • Maryland Security Guard Certification
  • Maryland Weapons Permit
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • US citizen
  • Eligible for a Government Public Trust Clearance
  • Speak and be literate in English to the extent of writing, reading and understanding printed regulations, orders, instructions, etc.
