Current Need
Security Supervisor, Corporate Security needed to work as a member of the Corporate Security & Safety (CSS) team, with responsibilities to lead, plan, schedule, and manage executive protection team assignments, large meeting and event security, and threat/vulnerability assessments at domestic and international locations. Additionally, the incumbent will assist in providing a safe and secure work environment for employees, tenants, and guests at McKesson Corporate Headquarters and other Bay Area facilities. Based in San Francisco, CA.
Position Description
Performs limited executive protection/security support for high profile events at McKesson events, such as senior executive meetings, national trade shows, and Board of Director meetings. These events require independent security planning, coordination with internal/external clients, and flawless execution. As such, this individual will be responsible for utilizing independent decision making skills in developing, coordinating and providing professional safety and security services to all attendees.
Develops open intelligence sources to stay abreast of threats or events that could impact the areas surrounding Corporate HQ, other Bay Area facilities, and McKesson meeting and events. When potential threats are identified, respond by placing protective measures to mitigate the risk. In addition, maintain liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement officials on a regular basis
Conducts un-supervised internal investigations such as theft, fraud, and workplace violence in/at McKesson facilities or events. Partners with key stakeholders such as Meeting and Event Services, HR, Legal, Audit/Compliance and senior executive staff keeping all apprised of the investigative plan.
Specific mission duty areas include, but are not limited to: event access control, supporting access badge program operations, emergency incident response, McKesson investigations, liaison with law enforcement, demonstration/protest response, crisis management team support, security assessments/audits and other areas as assigned.
Attend professional development training, seminars and courses related to mission areas
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
3+ years safety/security experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
Critical Skills
Minimum ten (10) years experience in law enforcement, military or corporate security environment.
Must be able to independently investigate cases assigned by Corporate Audit, Compliance, CSS, HR, Legal, or as necessary at a McKesson event in a professional and timely manner.
Leadership skills necessary to command the action and confidence of employees or event attendees during fast breaking crisis situations; must be able to work well under pressure, both internal and external and exercise sound judgment; must be a self-starter, capable of working either independently or as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely; must be able to work on and prioritize multiple tasks; ability to establish effective professional relationships with customers, co-workers, and upper level staff and employees.
Must be able to develop, organize and prepare concise and accurate records and reports.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Internet, email, word processing and database programs.
Must have knowledge of security operations, shift scheduling, supervisory best practices, and access control/CCTV installation/operations.
Be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Must have a valid driver’s license and pass appropriate employment, civil, DMV, Drug, and Criminal Background screen
Additional Knowledge & Skills
College Degree highly preferred
Be able complete certification in First Aid and CPR within 90 days of employment, and able to administer once trained, as required.
Ability to drive a multi-passenger vehicle safely and appropriately, including ability to read and interpret road signs in English; ability to read, understand, and adhere to the rules and regulations of the United States Department of Transportation and applicable state laws.
Must be decisive in decision making and execute security and safety plans flawlessly.
