Position Description:
The successful candidate will serve as the Security Manager for the Protective Force Program at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant. Develop and maintain security-related orders, policies, and security plans for a Category 2 nuclear facility in compliance with DOE Order 473.3, Protection Program Operations and other applicable regulations. Provides leadership and technical oversight of the 24/7 security operations and staff. Develop programmatic and tactical methods to identify, assess, prevent, and respond to internal or external threats and emergencies. Maintain security-related equipment and systems in the security operations center. Responsible for exercising administrative and technical direction over the work of subordinate supervisors, professional and technical employees with accountability to higher levels of management. Establish security program goals, priorities, and major work schedules. Develop cost and budget analyses and forecasts. Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization. Must be willing to be on-call. Understand and embrace nuclear safety culture principles. Other duties as directed by responsible manager.
