Senior Global Security Operations Specialist

Bachelors in Business Admin, Criminal Justice, Political Science or related degree, and attendance at security related schools, or an equivalent combo of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Five (5) years related security experience to include three years supervisory experience. Position Purpose:
Under minimal supervision, the Security Operations Specialist Senior is responsible for supporting Global Security Operations management and security personnel at all company sites in support of company security initiatives. Supports the establishment and maintenance of corporate policies and procedures to set minimum standards for all operating locations. Assists in the management of multiple labor contracts to ensure appropriate contractor guard force is in place at all sites. Mentors and provides assistance to lower level Specialists conducting security operations functions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Understands and operates within Department of Defense (DOD), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and corporate policies in providing sensitive government aircraft security and plant protection services. 2. Provides direction to facility security management team to ensure compliance with established corporate policies in order to maintain continuity of operations. 3. Takes lead in the development of policies, procedure, and practices intended to standardize global security program. 4. Liaison with federal and local law enforcement and regulatory agencies to exchange information, conduct investigations and comply with government mandated compliance measures. 5. Primary contact in all security related matters for large facilities. 6. Coordinates and /or collaborates with appropriate business unit, law enforcement, or other relevant entities to minimize risk vulnerability. 7. Oversees appointed Alternate COMSEC Custodians, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines regarding COMSEC accounts, and that required government-provided training is received. 8. Ensures that classified documents and COMSEC equipment is properly prepared for shipment between the Gulfstream corporate site and other Gulfstream sites, including those overseas, as well as to government-approved equipment service providers. 9. Performs in depth security assessments gauging the effectiveness of existing security systems and programs. 10. Conducts in depth analysis, review and formal audits on facility security program to ensure compliance with applicable local and federal regulations as well as internal corporate policies.
Additional Functions: 1. Travel as needed to conduct physical security assessments and officer training at domestic and international facilities. 2. Familiar with the ITAR, EAR and other federal government regulation regarding export laws and State Department licensing as well as regulation regarding foreign nationals both as employees and visitors, i.e. Technology Control Plans; public release of information. 3. Performs other duties as required.

Other Requirements:
1. Requires thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations relating to security.
2. Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures and practices to assist managers in complying with established security programs.
3. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, through clear, concise, and technically accurate written materials
4. Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance to the level of the Facility Clearance (FCL). 5. Proven experience developing security concepts, principles, and practices with the ability to implement security procedures for operations, personnel, and information security programs within the organization.
