Job Description:
The selected candidate will perform as an instructor for the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Handheld, Manpack & Small Form Fit (HMS) radios. These radios form both voice networks and IP-based wireless communication networks which pass voice, data and video traffic. The course instruction requires training
US Army operator and maintenance personnel on how to install, setup, configure, troubleshoot and repair the radios. Some courseware development may be required, so knowledge of military training material such as lesson plans, slides and trainee guides are important. This position includes making cabling and power equipment, configuring equipment operating parameters, establishing communications between radios to create wireless networks, troubleshooting communication issues, and setting up IP interfaces from host PC’s to the radios.
Requirements & Duties:
In addition to training, must set up radios and establish a wireless network in a training and/or test environment, troubleshooting communication errors among radios within the network, and answering technical questions to customer personnel. Must have solid background in the following military tactical radios: AN/PRC 117F(C),FALCON II(R) AN/PRC-150(C), FALCON III(R)AN/PRC-152,HARRIS RF-7800W and the AN/PRC-117G(V)1(C)
