Job Description
Responsible for the daily operations of the Rapid Response Team (RRT) (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, training and operating costs). Successful candidate
responsibilities include: cost, schedule, and technical performance of the RRT broad responsibility for all aspects of program performance. Candidate will be assigned collateral duties as Custodian of Classified Documents and assignments are received in task oriented terms. Responsible for providing direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Candidate must have full working knowledge of procedures and practices. Candidate will make decisions relating to accomplishment of daily work responsibilities and monitor all work operations of non-exempt RRT members on a daily basis and actively assists or provides direction to subordinates as required. Candidate may perform on-going operational tasks of organizational groups. Candidate executes department procedures that typically affect RRT members within the department and administers/executes policies and procedures that typically affect team and individual subordinate employees. Duties will require candidate to maintain the training budget and avoid over-runs. Candidate will maintain annual training plan and retain training documents to ensure that the company is covered for litigation. Candidate will accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry-level exempt employees. Additional common management responsibilities as listed in Shipbuilding Management Charter 0001 within Command Media (SBMC 0001) and applicants should review the Charter and policies and procedures before applying for position.
Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline and 6 years experience or HS diploma or GED and 10 years experience. Combination of education of education, training and experience can be substituted in lieu of degree. Active Shooter Instructor with Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT). Certified SWAT Team Leader.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with protecting and enforcing government regulations related to the NISPOM a plus.
