Description
The Sr. Security Specialist position is responsible for overall security for all JMFE facilities and associates at various company locations. This obligation is met through working closely with on site contract security service. Additional responsibilities include;
1. Providing executive protection and security escorts as needed.
2. Liaison with International, Federal, State & Local Law Enforcement in coordinating all security issues during JMFE events throughout the world.
3. Mitigate all security related issues that may present or appear to cause a threat or harm to all JM Family Enterprise associates and property.
4. Apply appropriate response for security related issues that will assist the business units and prevent unwanted work delays or interruptions.
5. Conduct investigations and security assessments as necessary, document findings in comprehensive reports and provide detailed briefings to management.
6. Make recommendations and draft post orders on best practice for security service personnel to follow.
7. Audit contract security service provider invoices weekly for accuracy.
Requirements 1. Education- Secondary education is desired, a B.S./B.A degree is preferred. ASIS Certification (CPP, PCI, PSP) is preferred.2. Experience – Minimum of five years Law Enforcement, Military, or security service experience is preferred.
3. Candidate should possess investigative and/or asset protection experience.
4. Present an excellent working knowledge of investigative techniques, ability to think logically and objectively, analyze and evaluate facts and arrive at sound conclusions. Ability to rapidly prioritize investigative requirements consistent with business objectives and risk. Make maximum use of technology to support investigative objectives.
5. Candidate must have the ability to conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability analysis to protect wealth generators (Associates, property, assets and business processes). An enhanced level of knowledge relative to physical security systems (card access, camera systems, gate operators, alarm systems etc.) is desired.
6. Candidate must present an enhanced understanding in the application of physical security systems. Possess the ability to direct contractors/vendors on security operations/procedures as well as security system installations and maintenance as necessary.
7. Candidate must possess superior communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly and provide exceptional written and oral presentation. Ability to liaison with international, federal, state and local law enforcement in coordination of security requirements.
8. Candidate must have the capability to speak publically and provide training to associates on security related topics as necessary.
9. Possess fundamental computer system literacy to include ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Must have the ability to learn systems operational capabilities and assist in programming enhancements to security data systems to attain maximum operational functionality.
10. Candidate must be willing to travel nationally and internationally as needed including extended overnight stays when required.
