Job Description
Performs a variety of security and safety related functions with the focus on managing a team and working closely with our client/customer at their location. This includes: planning, communication, operations, assessment, invoicing, and following the post orders established by our client/customer and ABM.
Essential Duties
Manages the development of security procedures which establish ABM’s goals and objectives from information and directives received from the client/customer.
Communicates and coordinates the security procedures to management personnel.
Provides staff with education/training opportunities.
Manages and evaluates security administrative personnel utilizing job descriptions and results produced by operational guidelines.
Audits and verifies employee scheduling and payroll, submitted by management staff, for employee placement and client billing.
Provides management staff with technical guidance in reporting scheduling exceptions to ABM’s data entry personnel.
Reviews personnel requests submitted by management staff regarding employee commendations or disciplinary actions for ratification.
Coordinates the maintenance of on-site files, and the transfer of pertinent information to the central files, with management staff.
Provides technical guidance to management staff regarding the hiring and training process.
Reviews and evaluates applicable employee testing instruments for utilization by management staff
Reviews investigative reports received from operations personnel and provides formal reports, dispositions and recommendations to project client/customer.
Reviews the results of the monthly audits of security equipment and recommends any maintenance or replacements to client/customer.
Maintains a working inventory of portable radio and communications equipment provides status reports, and recommendations on new equipment.
Reviews directives from client/customer regarding service and channels corrective action to administrative personnel.
Identifies special security needs and develops unique security programs to effectively resolve any breach of security.
Coordinates and assists with law enforcement agencies’ request and involvement with project client/customer.
Maintains availability in order to provide direction to management staff, regarding emergency procedures or operational situations, on a 24-hour basis.
Attends ABM’s operations meetings and disseminates pertinent information received to administrative personnel.
Manages the weekly and monthly reporting of security effectiveness to client/customer for the purposes of evaluation, communication, and accountability.
Maintains, records and files on all pertinent data concerning the project – site security operation.
Manages the coordination of the provision coverage for executive functions, additional projects and special events.
Analyzes the effectiveness of the security operation.
Provides professional and technical guidance to client/customer regarding life safety systems and physical security.
Maintains and audits contract billing to insure that current expenditures are comparable to budget projections.
Operate golf cart, vehicle, or other transportation, as applicable.
Operate a computer, printer, fax machine, and other office machinery as applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Prior supervisory experience required.
Prefer 10 years of security experience, law enforcement, customer service, and/or military experience.
Must have ability to interact professionally with co-workers, clients, tenants, and management.
Must be proficient with the English language (speaking, writing, reading, writing e-mails, phone calls, able to be understood, etc.)
Must possess good customer service skills.
Must be able to perform all physical aspects of the above job duties.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
