EOD SME Exercise & Training Planner

Job Summary:  

NEK Services, Inc., is seeking Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Subject Matter Experts (SME) personnel to support Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) Home Station Training Complex positions. Contractors will provide support necessary for the conduct of EOD training. The position requires the contractor to oversee maintenance requirements on all training complex facilities, equipment, and training aids and devices, coordinate the maintenance requirements relative to training schedules and the scheduling of the HSTC, perform repair of training aids and equipment, and identify and facilitate the replacement and upgrade of equipment based on life cycle requirements. The ideal candidate will provide subject matter expertise that is current and valid.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Duties will include, but may not be limited to:
Develop and maintain schedule of events for EOD and NECC training and exercise events.
Schedule demolition, small arms ranges and ranges for EOD and NECC training events or exercises onboard NAWS China Lake.
Schedule barracks onboard NAWS China Lake.
Submit and track security clearances for EOD and NECC personnel utilizing NAWS China Lake ranges.
Coordinate and execute short and long range training schedules.
Maintain department calendar.
Screen incoming correspondence and directives routed to the department and initiates administrative action when appropriate.
Maintain up-to-date, standard electronic forms, as possible, and hard-copy forms when electronic copies are not available.
Track status of recurring reports.
Maintain a master library of all applicable references


MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Management experience in military operations and plans (2 years minimum).
Ability to interface with all levels of Command.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively use personal relationships.
Ability to work in a small team and willingness to excel and provide excellent training support despite irregular event schedules and workload.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a minimum of Secret Level Clearance for access to classified information.
