Senior Developer/Trainer (Scout/Sniper)

Overview:

Initiates and coordinates NGMS Sniper training programs to support SANG Training Base in Sniper Doctrinal material and the NGMS Sniper POI. Performs as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on training the Sniper POI by being professionally skilled in Sniper training and the Systems Approach to training Process.

A. Duties/responsibilities:

Provides Sniper training and assistance to NGMS Officers/NCOs.
Coordinates with the NGMS/Weapons Training Wing Commanders for any changes needed.
Assists OPM-SANG and SANG with the implementation phase of Sniper training.
Develops POI(s) for NGMS programs of instruction in support of Sniper training to enhance their training capabilities as directed and prioritized by OPM-SANG and NGMS.
Develops, staffs and submits to POIs to OPM-SANG for approval. Assists with Sniper doctrine development and standardization procedures in accordance with (IAW) with OPM-SANG Publication Action Team (PAT).
Assists Chief Trainer, as required.
Performs other mission-related duties, as required.
Ensures POI and training materials are developed IAW SANG Management and Operations Procedures (MAOP) Volumes 1,2,3,6, and 11 and Publications Standards Document Volumes 1 & 2.
Conducts Train-the-Trainer (T3) Courses.
Transition as directed in support of the Training Assistance Team (TAT).
B. Independence: Performs duties under the direction of Chief Trainer. Accomplishes responsibilities independently within specialty area, IAW established objectives, policies and procedures.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises (1) Saudi.

Qualifications:
A. Education Level: Some College preferred; Graduate of Non-commissioned Officer Basic Course, commissioned officer course or civilian equivalence preferred.
B. Experience: Former officer or non-commissioned officer with at least 2 years experience in Sniper operations training, U.S. preferred.
C. Qualification: Must have received formal military Sniper training or civilian law enforcement equivalent. Served in a Scout/Sniper position preferred.
D. Specific Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements: Must have detailed knowledge and experience with the Systems Approach to Training and basic U.S. Army methodologies. Must must have a thorough knowledge of Sniper tactics, techniques and procedures. Professional training experience in a multi-cultural environment is desired. Must possess superior ability in expression of thoughts, both orally and written. Proficient in the use MS Office Suite Software.
