Security Officer ERT

Location: Littleton, Colorado, US 


Responsibilities include: employee and visitor control; security patrols of facilities; rapid alarm response; emergency response; violation and hazard detection; parking and traffic enforcement; classified materials destruction; and security escorts for un-cleared personnel. Individual will provide immediate response to all emergency situations such as fires, medical emergencies, confined space rescue, traffic incidents, and hazardous material incidents.

Individual will operate, maintain, and conduct readiness reviews of all emergency response equipment, investigate or assist in investigations of security and/or emergency incidents, and may be required to assist outside agencies, such as local fire districts and law enforcement agencies to maintain safety and security.

Must be able to carry and qualify with firearm. Must be able to use force of arms as required.

Shift and days off can change, depending on seniority, bi-annually in January and July.

Basic Qualifications 
State of Colorado Firefighter I
State of Colorado Haz-Mat Ops
State of Colorado EMT-Basic
Strong Customer Service Skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent written communications skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Must be able to work third shift.
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and agility test.
Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI w/ poly security clearance.

Desired skills 
State of Colorado Firefighter II
NWCG FFT2 Red Card
State of Colorado Driver-Operator/Pumper certification, or equivalent experience;
Active Security Clearance
Previous Security experience
Previous experience with security related monitoring systems (ie. Alarm systems, Facility Access Control Systems, etc)
Previous firearms experience
