Mobile Training Team Member

Job Summary


The Mobile Training Team Member ensures classroom environments build a professional education experience through mentoring, reporting and evaluation of programs with the guidance from International Narcotics & Logistics and United States Security Coordinator to meet goals and desired outcomes of related United States Government sponsored assistance.

Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
Support a comprehensive evaluation program in order to document and improve the overall quality/effectiveness of all training delivered.
Provide guidance to trainers and instructors on proper delivery of U.S. developed/sponsored training in order to meet INL/USSC requirements and standards for ensuring quality of instruction for students.
Develop and/or refine detailed course curriculum as needed to enhance/increase the level of training provided to students.
Teach or assist with training if required.
Monitor and document training using designated processes.
Develop or revise detailed course curriculum as needed.
Serves as an observer/trainer during practical field training events.
Coordinate training related resources as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English at the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) Language Proficient Rating of 4 for U.S citizens; Rating of 3 for country nationals.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software.
Ability to coach, teach and mentor others.

Experience & Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ten (10) years’ or more military and/or civilian law enforcement experience.
Two (2) years’ supervisory experience.
One (1) year or more overseas experience in any combination of military, law enforcement and/or security service training and/or program implementation.
One (1) year or more experience in training/event coordination and execution.
Proven experience as a military, law enforcement or civil defense instructor in an academic environment.
Five (5) years’ or more military, law enforcement or civil defense experience with a training background, or proven experience as a law enforcement instructor in an academic environment. Training background will include actual classroom or tactical forum teaching experience, evaluation of courses and instructors, Training Administration and/or Instructor Mentoring experience, either in police training academies or an educational setting at the college or university level.
Instructor certification from a recognized academy, college or university, preferably as a police instructor.
Eight (8) years’ or more work experience with at least five (5) years’ experience in their relevant field.
Advisors must be employed in the respective lines of work for which they are being considered (i.e. police officer, prosecutor, etc.), or be recently retired/separated within the last five (5) years.
Emergency Medical (EMT) experience preferred.
Experience in developing, conducting, managing, and evaluating training.
Experience in working with/supervising contracted training providers.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for up to twelve (12) hours per day and sit for up to eight (8) hours per day.
Place of duty and environmental conditions can be extremely austere, harsh and work can be performed under hostile and life-threatening conditions.

Travel
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
