The O'Gara Group Training and Services Division is hiring for a WMD Instructor for the Rosslyn, VA location.
O’Gara Training and Services, LLC is currently accepting applicants with Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) training experience for a full time position in Rosslyn, Virginia. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the WMD arena and exceptional skills in developing and delivering training to diverse audiences.
This position requires frequent overseas travel to hostile and austere environments. Applicants are required to possess a valid US government issued SECRET security clearance and should have credentials to demonstrate relative WMD experience; i.e. formal schools such as Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD), US Army Technical Escort (TEU), DD214, etc. Interested applicants should submit their resume through the careers tab on our website www.ogarasecuritytraining.com.
WMD Instructors will develop training materials and deliver training to personnel located at overseas and domestic locations as specified in DOS operational plans and possess the following background, knowledge and experience:
Minimum of 3 years of general experience in the WMD countermeasures field, either as an instructor in the field or as a certified State, Federal or Military first responder, is required. Instructor experience is required.
International training experience with civilian students in the field of WMD countermeasures is required.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of training precepts and techniques that support instructional systems design processes are required. The ability to transcribe technical information into wording and formats for comprehension by all students, at all levels, who may have limited backgrounds and understanding of the WMD field, is required.
Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate orally, as well as in writing, and be physically fit to perform prescribed duties, is required.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the DOS and with other federal agencies is required.
Ability to reduce highly complex instructional materials to a simplified instructional presentation that can be understood by host country persons with limited English language capability is required.
Experience working with foreign language translators/interpreters in developing the presentation of training materials is required.
Familiarity with standard training evaluation methods and mechanisms is required.
General understanding of computer-use skills is required. Word processing and Power Point capability is required.
