POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON SWMS-B CONTRACT AWARD
Position Summary:
Conduct training of government personnel. The contractor understands that all weapons used in this training will be provided by the government.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing / providing instruction related to: Combat Marksmanship Instruction, Rifle (M4), Pistol (M1911A1), Breaching instruction, and Close Quarters Battle Instruction (CQB). This will be done seamlessly between each element of support and include the conduct of explosive, ballistic and mechanical breaching instruction. The contractor will provide additional pre-ITC instruction for Marines Awaiting Training (MAT) prior to ITC.
Assist in developing and maintaining currency of Programs of Instruction (POIs) and Master Lesson Files (MLFs) for ITC and Advanced Courses.
SMEs will assist in maintaining the currency of the MARSOC POIs for breaching and CQB Leaders.
Serve as an instructor/evaluator during MSOS-provided instruction.
Assist in collateral instructor duties as assigned such as range maintenance, supply management, and office support. The contractor instructors shall:
Develop, submit and refine schedules to support the conduct of all courses.
Monitor all expendable items and equipment associated with range use and field training events.
Prepare classrooms and ranges in support of training.
Two contractors will be properly licensed to safely drive students in Government provided busses as well as transport ammunition in Government vehicles within Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Lejeune, NC.
CQB Instructors may work nonstandard work weeks and workdays, to include longer than 8-hour days and some weekends/holidays.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications/Experience
Graduate of Service Special Operations CQB course;
Possess current weapons qualification and capable of passing a Combat Marksmanship Qualifications;
Familiarity w/Operational Risk Management;
Capable of receiving a Camp Lejeune Range Safety Officer Certification and serving as a Range OIC/RSO;
Familiar w/current CQB TTPs;
Instructor experience at a Special Operations CQB Course;
Formal School Instructor Course (FSIC) or equivalent;
Possess advanced Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Able to be certified to drive buses and transport ammunition, and wear organizational Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended durations of time throughout training days.
