Position Summary:
The Range Master/Firearms Instructor (RMFI) is responsible for ensuring that contract personnel are trained and qualified on all Task Order specified firearms and ensuring that all firearms related facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Essential Functions:
Plan and coordinate weapons re-qualification training
Ensure that all equipment, weapons, ammunition, and materials are on-hand for training
Conduct re-qualification firing
Other administrative tasks as necessary to support range operations
Non-Essential Functions:
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned according to the needs of the customer/client
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage firing range and supervise weapons re-qualification training in overseas locations.

Crucial Requirements and Abilities:
The contract requires you to be a U.S. Citizen - must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance
Three (3) years' experience as a range master
Worked on other U.S., federal, state, or local government training assignments
Diplomatic Security Certified Firearms Instructor
Graduate of the DS Basic Field Firearms Officer Course
English language proficiency (minimum Level III)
Obtain and maintain weapons qualifications
Must successfully pass all required courses specified by the client
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven leadership skills and project management skills
Ability to establish, maintain and enforce operational standards
Demonstrated effective communications skills including strong written and oral presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability and willingness to work in hostile and conflict environment
Exercise sound judgment in all areas of responsibility
