This is a part-time hourly position that is expected to work 16 hours per week. This position is overtime eligible. The pay range for this position is $12 to $14 per hour.

Essential Functions/Typical Duties:
Patrol a designated area on foot or in a patrol car to enforce College rules and regulations, local, state, and federal statutes and ordinances.
Inspect buildings and grounds for prowlers, fire, property damage, or other irregularities.
Investigate accidents or crimes.
Operate department communication equipment, respond to telephone inquiries, receive reports of criminal activity, and prepare incident report.
Assist city or county police and state patrol in cases of emergency.
Perform related duties as required.
Qualifications/Core Competencies:
Two years of full-time college in police science or allied field or Two years of police or campus security experience
Possession of a valid driver's license no previous felony conviction
Knowledge of: rules governing access to buildings and grounds; rules of behavior; general safety precautions and fire hazards; methods and procedures in dealing with clients, visitors, staff
Knowledge of report preparation and writing
Good verbal communication and observation skills;
Knowledge of law enforcement basics, investigation procedures, and electronic security systems Specific Requirements
Must pass a criminal background check
