As a Personnel Security Specialist you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Review questionnaires for personnel security eligibilities through the use of automated systems.
- Analyze personal history information contained in personnel security requests.
- Consider disqualifying offenses and determine whether to grant eligibility.
- Review and analyze security investigations.
- Submit detailed requests to reopen investigations.
- Compare investigatory information with established adjudication criteria for granting final eligibilities.
- Identify notifications on personnel security eligibility that may contain major adverse information to determine appropriate course of action.
- Determine if interim suspensions are warranted.
- Determine extent and degree of an investigative inquiry required to resolve allegations of adverse information.
- Establish liaison and coordinate action with an agency, security organizations and contractor security personnel.
- Evaluate adverse information reports submitted by contractors.
- Analyze reports of investigations which contain conflicting information and evidence.
Make recommendations to investigative reports.
