Description
JCITA is the element of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) which is responsible for the training of all DoD counterintelligence (CI) mission areas and function. JCITA provides joint CI training to over 10,000 DoD military and defense agency counterintelligence personnel around the world. In doing so, JCITA offers in residence, mobile training teams and distance/ distribution learning opportunities, created to meet strict instructional design standards. JCITA’s goal is to provide the best DoD CI training to DoD with the most relevant and up to date training material possible. JCITA is accredited under the Council on Occupational Education and adheres to the standards set by the accrediting body, as well as JCITA’s own instructional design policies and procedures. This position does not provide relocation. accommodations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide instruction to the Joint Counterintelligence Training Academy (JCITA) in support of the Counterintelligence Force Protection Source Operations Course.
Perform a vital role in support of the Counterintelligence Community, training DoD personnel (special agents) in the fundamentals of planning and conducting Source Operations.
Prompt and regular attendance.
Other duties as assigned by senior FedSys management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Understanding of course development, curriculum development, student evaluations and course critiques.
Knowledge of mission planning, source administration, intelligence and operational analysis, CI missions and functions, liaison, intelligence funds, and oversight.
Knowledge of Operational Cycle, Tradecraft, Operational and Intelligence Reporting, Operational Security, CI, Force Protection, and military CI operations highly desired.
Experience with distance learning via a learning management system (LMS) is highly desired.
Candidate must possess the ability to work in a high-stress, rapid paced environment requiring the provision of high-quality reports, and other products and services on short notice.
Candidate must possess strong oral and written skills in English.
Be able to occasionally work flexible hours, nights or weekends, if necessary.

Interface
This position will interact with both internal and external customers to include members of senior management and the industry community.

Security Requirements
You must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening as a condition of employment. Applicants selected may/will be subject to a Government security background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements. Candidate must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI for the duration of the contract. Clearance level requirement may be subject to change at the government’s discretion. In this event, you will be required to obtain and maintain the required clearance for the duration of your employment. Incumbent may be selected at a higher or lower clearance level as specified by any change made by the Government.

Educational / Work Experience
Candidate must be certified in Counterintelligence Force Protection Source Operations (CFSO) with field experience.
Candidate must be a graduate of one or more of the following courses: JCITA Counterintelligence Source Operations Course, Advanced Foreign Counterintelligence Training Course (AFCITC), US Army Intelligence center, Navy Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center (NMITC), and Military Source Operations (MSO).
A formerly Credentialed Special Agent is preferred but not required.
Five years’ experience in tactical Source Operations (MSO, LLSO) is preferred but not required.

Professional/Certification Requirements
Must obtain and maintain all required JCITA certifications throughout the term of employment.
