Job Title: Security Force Assistance (SFA) Instructor
FSLA: Exempt
Summary: TAPE, LLC is seeking a qualified SFA Instructor to work in Ft. Polk, LA.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• SFA instructors are responsible for ensuring requirements are met in accordance with the schedule execution matrix and the performance work statement.
• Instructor will assist with planning, curriculum development, and program of instruction refinement of SFA courses.
• Prepare and deliver lectures; Security Force Assistance (SFA), and Cultural Awareness (CA) for Afghanistan to facilitate the training of Advisors and Security Force Assistance Teams (SFAT) deploying in support of contingency operations.
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
• Evaluate and grade students’ class work, assignments, and papers.
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
• Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
• Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional organizations and conferences.
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others.
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.
• Conduct research in a particular field of knowledge and publish findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
• Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
• Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media
• Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
• Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, cultures and their history and origins
• Highly skilled in verbal and written communications to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans and memorandums of instruction.
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products (primarily Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and data/web-based systems.
Experience: AA degree with Recent (last 2-3 years) military experience in Afghanistan. Army instructor qualified preferred. Special Operations experience or experience as an Advisor to Afghan National Security in Afghanistan.
- Requires SERE level C graduate to support instructing personnel recovery classes.
Clearance: Active Secret security clearance
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Salary: $18 per hour
