Special Operations Maritime Ops Training Instructor

This is a new business development opportunity for CACI in Little Creek VA. Must have Special Operations Forces (SOF) experince and a current US Secret security clearance.

Description: Instructor personnel are preferred whom have prior military experience with Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) or Operation New Dawn (OND) active duty combat deployment experience (not Contractor deployments). Prior enlisted instructors shall have completed Navy Instructor Training and successfully
obtained Naval Enlisted Classification (NEC) 9502 or service equivalent.
Must have one or all of the following qualifications:

- Current Secret Clearance required
- Upon contract award, Contractor shall obtain a Certificate of Course completion from the NSW Range Officers Safety Course in accordance with COMNAVSPECWARCOMINST 3591.1C.
- Upon contract award, Contractor shall complete Job Qualification Requirements (JQRs) in accordance with COMNAVSPECWARCOMINST 3591.1C, under the guidance of NSWG-1/NSWG-2 for Range Safety Officer (RSO) for the following Small Arms range evolutions:
o Small arms range RSO
o Close Quarters Combat (CQC) range RSO
o Dynamic range RSO
- Upon contract award, Contractor shall obtain a Letter of Designation by Commander NSWG-1/NSWG-2, as an NSW RSO for all ranges listed in Section 10.0.

POSITION SUMMARY: Maritime Operations Instructor
Maritime Operations Instructor support covers the administrative and instructional tasks allocated to the Contractor who is assigned to the Marops Division of NSWG-1/NSWG-2 TRADET. In general, the task is to assist in the RSO instruction, operational and logistical support of Maritime, Combat Swimmer, Rotary Wing, Visit Board Search and Seize (VBSS), GOPLT, and Over the Beach (OTB) operations. The Maritime Operations Instructor shall assist Trip Leader instructors in all aspects of training. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with NSWG-1/NSWG-2 TRADET Mobility Division OIC or
Troop Commander.
- Proficient in basic and advanced small arms marksmanship as per NSWG-1/NSWG-2 TRADET Assault Division Tactic Guide.
- Adept in the instruction and supervision of static and dynamic ranges consisting of IADs, dynamic shipboard movement, and hallway clearance.
- Proficient in the tactical application of demolitions and able to instruct charge setup and use procedures.
- Experienced in Method of Entry Breaching to include explosive, manual/mechanical and thermal breaching procedures and able to instruct each method onboard a vessel.
- As directed, develop training schedules and schedule training sites and range areas.
- Working knowledge of NSW Unit Level Training Schedule, and specific evolutions and procedures at the training site. as above
- Working knowledge of Unit Level Training support process and procedures, DTS.
- Coordinate and organize role players for field training exercises.
- Coordinate with representatives of other military organizations and Government agencies for training support systems and asset coordination.
- Understand a wide variety of guidelines, publications and instructions relating to the safe and mission-specific NSW training.
- Submit and track all required documentation to support training efforts.
- Draft messages; maintain file of all.
- Update individual training records.
- Liaise with Operations Departments from all NSWG-1/NSWG-2 commands WRT training schedules and equipment and personnel shortfalls.
- Familiarity with static and dynamic range training evolutions, small unit patrolling, the safe use of small arms, NSW Air Operations (Fixed wing and Helicopter), Maritime Operations to include: CRRC Navigation, OTB/ Horizon and VBSS Operations.
- Obtain designation as a NSW RSO or other special qualifications.
- Prior qualification as HRST Master, Dynamic and Static RSO, Laser RSO, CRRC boat Coxswain, Freefall/ Static Line Jumpmaster and Drop Zone Safety Officer.
- Perform other administrative duties.
- Perform other tasks as may be required.

Assigned personnel shall be:
- Former U.S. Navy SEAL, U.S. Navy Special Boat Team Member, or applicable warfare specialty, prior off-road driving experience, previous law enforcement employment, or military service in SOF.
- Have prior qualifications as HRST Master, Dynamic and Static RSO, CQC RSO, Laser RSO, Demolition RSO.
- Have working knowledge of NSW missions, TGM and MAROPS/Combat swimmer/OTB/VBSS/GOPLT TTP, training requirements, Mission Essential Tasks, and TGM/ MAROPS Site procedures.
- Be physically fit and be able to run several range iterations of Range evolutions in a row as a RSO.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires 10-12 years of related experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work requires standing, walking, running, jumping from heights, heavy lifting, bending and carrying supplies and equipment. Be able to operate in full body armor and helmets. Work performed inside a classroom and outdoors, regardless of weather conditions and may expose the employee to inclement weather.
