Position Overview:
Instructor shall have the skills required to effectively train host nation Special Forces, in SOCEUR AOR, in classroom instruction, demonstrate procedures,observe/evaluate student performance of hands
-on tasks, and provide oral/written feedback to the student.Responsibilities:
The instructor shall be knowledgeable in Special Forces tasks up to the battalion
level.
The instructor shall possess the skillnto organizes, trains, advises and supervises indigenous and allied personnel in the installation, utilization and operation of radio equipment, radio nets, standard and expedient antenna systems and wire communications.
Proficient in and the instruction of the installation, operation and employment of Frequency modulation (FM), Amplitude Modulated (AM), Very High Frequency (VHF), Ultra High Frequency (UHF), and Super High Frequency (SHF) radio communication systems to transmit and receive radio messages in voice,
continuous wave, and burst code radio nets.
Plans, prepares and assists in the communications targets portion of the area study, prepares and assists in briefings, briefbacks and debriefings.
Prepares Signal Operations Instructions/Communication Electronics Operations Instructions (SOI/CEOI). Serves as Communications-
Electronics (C-E) NCOIC for FOB communications
Supervises the communication functions when in split detachment configuration for special operations or missions and advises the commander on C4I architecture, communications matters, and communications security.
Must be knowledgeable on the current communication techniques being used by Special Forces in the CENTCOM AOR.
Education / Skills and Requirements:
Must be a graduate of the ANCOC.
Min. Active Security Clearance of SECRET
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Former instructor at USAJFKSWC 18E course preferred.
Knowledgeable on Technical Exploitation Operations desired “and/or”
Proficiency in Long Range Marksmanship desired, “and/or”
Graduate of the Special Operations Target Interdiction Course desired, “and/or” Integration of UAVs into battalion staff planning desired , “and/or” Establish identity through the use of biometrics.
